Clad materials
as flexible as a modular system
During the cladding process, we combine at least two different metallic strips into a composite material. The individually prepared component strips run parallel from their respective coils together into the roll gap of the cladding stand. The rolling pressure creates a mechanical bond. Subsequent heat treatment then produces an inseparable contact surface.
Through subsequent rolling, annealing, and skin-pass steps, we optimally adapt the composite to customer requirements. This results in strips in work-hardened, soft-annealed, and temper-rolled conditions with a defined strength range.

Fascination in layers, cleverly combined!
- Improved or new properties depending on the materials used
- Individual composite structure
- Also applicable in titanium
- Cost-effective tool manufacturing / design iterations
- Realisation of complex designs (channel structures)
Together
to the Right Solution
The metal specialists of the Wickeder Group combine their strengths to offer you the best in metal. A wide range of standard and customized solutions is available on three continents – Europe, America, and Asia. Thanks to the product and service-oriented business model, the highest quality standards, necessary flexibility, and fast response times can be consistently maintained.
Functional Material
The Functional Material portfolio goes beyond clad materials and offers further material areas for demanding technical applications. This allows metallic properties to be specifically expanded, adapted, and made usable for further processing.
