Since the first mention of the “Uttenhofer Eisenhammer” in 1526, Auerhammer has a long and eventful history. To this day, a passion for innovation and expertise define the company’s identity.
A significant milestone in our history was the development of nickel silver by Dr. Ernst August Geitner in 1823, which marked the beginning of innovative development of new materials.
In 1918, copper-clad steel sheet was produced at Auerhammer for the first time. From 1950 onwards, development expanded to include special metallic materials. With the introduction of a completely new production line and the cold cladding process in 1984, Auerhammer laid the foundation for economic and technological growth. Even after the political and economic upheavals of 1989, this success story was consistently continued and further expanded.
Through continuous innovation and uncompromising product safety, Auerhammer has opened up new markets, developed forward-looking products – and turned customers into reliable, long-term partners.
